About Me

Tina Jayde. Student. GB. Naija.

I can't remember when I started watching YouTube videos daily but it soon became my source of TV and has helped me in many ways. In my head, I wanted to do YouTube but your girl has a commitment issue so that was like a straight no. Plus putting my identity and life out there for everyone to see was scary enough.

When I was young, I loved reading. Jaqueline Wilson. Rick Riordan. Nancy Drew. Kimani Tru. I was a book WORM. So naturally when you read books, you develop your own narratives in your head. I had A LOT of these. I can't remember most of them but I had a lot of stories inside. But I never considered myself a writer, you know? I mean, if all else failed then I would think that being a writer would have to be an option but I never saw myself writing. But long story short, I grew away from reading as social media said, "I'm about to ruin yo' reading reputation" much to my parents dismay but I soon discovered Wattpad which is convenient for anybody who is on their phone 24/7 but still wants to engage with reading. I joined, read a few books before writing my own book called : Promise Me Roses

Then came blogging. Scrolling through my TL, I must have seen seen a link that said 'inside my billion naira mansion' (that's like a million pounds when it comes to British money) . So I clicked on the link and it inspired me so much. It was about a Nigerian blogger called Linda Ikeji who basically had nothing to begin with but soon grew into being Nigeria's #1 blogger. She is my main source of inspo when it came to creating this blog.

And that's the story of how we got here guys!!

Still being at secondary school or high school means that I go through moments where drama is on my mind, school is try'na kill me and not to mention, I have strict parents (you see the struggle). But I know I'm not the only one! So doing this blog is to help you but also myself in being happy, not losing our sparkle and meeting like minded people who can help us all get through life.

Whether you're white, black, Asian, Hispanic, Latino, mixed, purple or silver - it doesn't matter. This blog is to give my advice/experience on issues to help others but also for ALL of us to glow up to be financially, physically, mentally, emotionally and socially successful. Thank you for reading and I can't wait to get to know ya!
